We all live where available. Not by real choice, but by birth and then wealth, and then whatever opportunity and choices possible. The structures around us have come to exist mostly due to a repetition of old ideas, created without imagination, and lacking a dedication to excellence.
We should try harder. We can build better and wiser structures and cities, but only if we have the wisdom and the will to do so.

Hawk has been a scientist, inventor, and private investigator, for most of his life. Being curious and interested in almost everything, he has been creating ideas for a better structure or city since he was eight years old.
When certain discoveries were made, he found even less reason why extraordinary structures and better methods for living and survival could not be a reality.
He acknowledges the existence of human arrogance and greed, the lack of imagination, and the lack of reason that results in the poorly designed structures we now embrace. However, he accepts none of it. He believes that we can just as easily attempt to build extraordinary and magnificent structures. Structures and cities that meld with the Earth, operate without producing greenhouse gasses, and are truly safer and more secure, then the cities and places we now inhabit.
Hawk is single and lives in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, but travels extensively. He is committed to Trying To Be Excellent, and to trying to build One Excellent Place.
He has a love for both nature and high technology, and works on various projects both large and small. He hopes that in some small way, this book will help to encourage people and in so doing, make the world a better place.
